T.O. WEBFEST 2016
The IWCC was thrilled to present the 3rd annual T.O. Webfest, over May 27 – 29, 2016, in downtown Toronto, Canada. We’ve already started thinking about what more we can bring in 2017, so return to find out what we’re up to! Subscribe to our newsletter, and join us on Facebook, and Twitter to stay in the know.
T.O. Webfest is a 3 day festival in Toronto, celebrating, supporting, connecting and promoting web content production from Canada and around the world. We offer engaging panels and workshops, special events, awards, web series screenings, and more. This year our Industry Day on Friday at the MaRS Discovery District featured a keynote by Ramona Pringle, panels covering distribution, marketing, and funding for your web content productions, and concluded with our 2nd annual Webfest Connect, introducing creators to opportunities in a structured networking event. The rest of the weekend at the Carlton Cinema held several craft-based workshops including a bootcamp for web content producers, and screenings on Creator Day Saturday. On the Sunday we held T.O. Webfest’s first ever Interactive Day featuring an in depth look at narrative VR content and installation showcasing VR projects anyone can experience. It wrapped with our awards show at the Pantages Hotel celebrating our official selections, nominees and winners.
