(USA) “The Room Actors: Where Are They Now (TRA:WATN)” is a mockumentary-style web series that takes a fictionalized, tongue-in-cheek look at what happened to the actors in the 2003 cult film, “The Room” after appearing in what The Guardian and Entertainment Weekly called “the Citizen Kane of bad movies.” Combining “talking heads” with docu-style footage, “TRA:WATN” follows seven out of nine of the original actors from “The Room,” as they comically struggle with either embracing or shaking “The Room’s” “worst movie ever made” stigma. A Room-obsessed documentarian, Javier Juan Julio (J.J.J.) Hernandez-Smith introduces the series and serves as the narrative glue connecting episodes. J.J.J. finds “The Room” star Juliette Danielle (Lisa) drunk at a dive bar in Hollywood. A recovering druggie and alcoholic, Juliette is now married to her former stalker; Philip (Denny) faces harassment from customers while working as a waiter at Denny’s; Kyle (Peter) uses his celebrity status to charm women at a suicide hotline and dodges various attempts on his life; Robyn (Michelle), divorced five times and juggling eight children, breaks into houses in order to keep her kids entertained; Dan (Chris-R) is a tough stay-at-home dad who channels Chris-R at kids' birthday parties; and Carolyn (Claudette) is a huge fan of Tommy Wiseau and defender of Claudette’s antiquated behavior in “The Room.” Obsessed with “The Room” actors, documentarian J.J.J. keeps the real "Room fan zero" Michael Rousselet locked in his basement and beats him with spoons to glean information.
